William Melevo is a rising musician, songwriter, and producer from Sydney Australia. With a degree in Music Education from the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music, he is a high school music teacher who’s been teaching for five years and now he’s ready to take his career to the next level by releasing his first debut single as a solo artist – ‘I Wish’.

This song is a heart-wrenching breakup song that would be a great addition to anyone’s sad hour playlist (I know you have one, everyone does). The melancholy swaying melody gently accompanies Melevo’s beautiful lyrics throughout the song creating a memorable symphony.

His soothing voice walks you through the narrative of a young guy who has recently broken up with his significant other and how he regrets not loving her more when he had the chance to. The flow and simplicity of the lyrics make them super relatable to anyone during this year’s break-up season. The gut-wrenching guitar solo near the end builds up to a key change where Melevo sings his last chorus, and how her new lover should ‘Love her the way she deserves to be.’

William Melevo draws inspiration from The Beatles, John Mayer, Jeff Buckley, Ed Sheeran, and Ryan Adams. To prepare for his solo career, he hired session musicians that played with John Mayer and had none other than Grammy-nominated producer Beau Vallis working on the mixing and mastering.
